Welcome to Real World Psychology. I am an independent psychologist based in the Tees Valley and working throughout the UK. As as registered and chartered psychologist I am accredited and registered with the British Psychology Society (BPS) and adhere strictly to this code of practice and ethics.

My aim is to apply psychology in the educational context to improve the welfare, well-being, learning and quality of life of children and young people.

I am a qualified and highly experienced educational psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience in providing educational psychology services to schools, colleges and other educational settings. I am able to support settings in how they meet the needs of their students and pupils through a way of working called collaborative-consultation; this combines combines observation, assessment and collaborative discussion with staff and parents, to develop shared understandings that draw on psychology and help inform actions. I can also support staff development using psychological coaching, training and workshops. More information about these ways of working are provided on the right.
